History

Quality Angels Human Services is a multi-services provider for young adults, older Adults and Seniors. Quality Angels was founded on the need for compassionate care that is individually tailored to the specific needs of our members. Care is provided with dignity, respect and quality. Our services truly make a difference, and changing the model of one size fits all individuals. Our services add benefits to the individuals we serve.

Quality Angels initial mission was to provide at home care services to our aging population. After servicing our community for almost a decade; Quality Angels has expanded to offering In Home and Community Support Services, Adult Residential Services, Transportation Services and more based on the community need. We are embedded into our community and give back to the community residence through food drives, community cleanup & more.

Quality Angels is committed to providing high quality, client-centered and affordable Home Care services to our clients to assist them to lead dignified and independent lives in the comfort and safety of their own homes. Their individual needs are carefully assessed, understood and met through the selective assignment of qualified, trustworthy and compassionate personnel. We are committed to maintaining compliance with all Regulations regarding our Home Care Agency.

ADLs & IADLs: Which Activities Are Important?

These are the most basic activities necessary for daily life. They include the following:

Eating & drinking

Ambulating – the ability to move about, such as walking with or without devices like canes, crutches, walkers, etc

Transferring – the ability to get in and out of bed, a chair or on and off a toilet

Taking medications

Personal hygiene – bathing or showering, shampooing hair, brushing teeth

Bladder & bowel management

Positioning and changing positions in a chair or bed

Dressing

Securing health care

IADLs – This Stands For Instrumental Activities Of Daily Living.

These activities are more complex and include:

Using the telephone

Shopping

Doing laundry

Obtaining and keeping clean clothing appropriate for the season

Making and keeping appointments

Writing letters or other correspondence

Taking part in social and leisure activities

Using a prosthetic device a substitute for a missing body part such as a hand or leg

Managing finances

Driving or arranging transportation
